You or your child will learn to care for their horse and learn to "tack up" (put on the saddle blanket, saddle, and bridle) before the lesson. Every lesson starts this way so that the student can learn the real joy of working with horses. Once the horse is prepared, we lead it into our enclosed arena and start the riding lesson. Our riding lessons last for 30 minutes, and we progress a student from how to mount the horse to how to ride outdoors focusing on safety and good riding technique. Our lessons are aimed at teaching you everything you need to know to care for your own horse, should you ever make the decision to become a horse owner. Once a student reaches a certain level of skill, we offer on-site, lightly supervised riding for $45 per hour. We teach both English and Western styles of riding.
